The Council comprises 10 councillors and a Clerk.
Meetings are every 2nd Monday in the month (except August & December).
Meetings are held in Yealmpton Community Centre starting at 19:30 and are open to the public who can raise concerns at the beginning of the meeting.
What we do
We have a variety of powers and duties all of which impact
directly on the community, some of the areas are:
Advising SHDC on planning applications, highways & transport issues (with DCC), Emergency Planning including flooding, organising grass cutting, maintenance of public footpaths, maintain our village (tidiness)

- Active travel – The long awaited ‘Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan’ (LCWIP) for South Hams has been published. An LCWIP aims to prioritise investment in infrastructure to increase walking, wheeling, and cycling.
